Fiji 1912 King Edward VII £3 on £1 purple and black/red, REVENUES, 'R and vertical bar' overprint with additional surcharge in words, tied to small document piece by blue crayon line and indistinct cancel.

A fine and rare Revenue stamp.

Revenue-only stamps overprinted with a letter R and a vertical bar were first introduced in Fiji on 1 January 1911. These were the first stamps to be overprinted this way depicting King Edward VII.
