Falkland Islands 1935 Silver Jubilee set of 4 to 1s slate and purple in marginal blocks of 4, the 1d and 1s from left margin, the 2½d and 4d from lower right corner, SG139/42.
A very fine unmounted mint set of blocks with full original gum.
Issued to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V, the design depicts the King with Windsor Castle, the principal royal residence and namesake of the House of Windsor. The four-value set formed part of the Empire-wide Silver Jubilee omnibus issue released throughout the British Colonies in 1935.
An attractive and increasingly difficult to obtain set of positional multiples.
Stunning for display.
