China 1883 5ca chrome-yellow 'Candarins', thicker paper, 2½mm spacing, clean-cut perforations, irregular 'L' shaped block of eight from setting VI (cliches 7, 24/15, 1, 9/21, 19, 14) with sheet margin at left, SG9.
Very fine used block cancelled by several Peking seals in blue and also by small part Shanghai Customs circular date stamp in black with year date '85'.
An important positional piece of considerable rarity.
