An attractive trio of early Imperial China Large Dragon issues, printed on delicate thin pelure paper with 4½mm spacing. This scarce group includes:

1 candarin green, cancelled by two part Shanghai seals in black

3 candarins brown-red and 5 candarins yellow-ochre, each cancelled by clear Peking seals in blue
Despite some typical light creasing and a few short perforations, commonly seen on this fragile paper, the retain strong colour and impressive visual appeal.
This issue represents one of the earliest stamp series of Imperial China, highly sought after by serious collectors. The use of distinctive coloured cancellations enhances their desirability, especially on pelure paper examples, which are rarely offered in matched groups.
