Ceylon 1867-70 1s reddish violet, watermark CC type 6,SG71b.
A fine mint block of 4 with virtually full original gum. Separated by scissors (lower left stamp with slightly trimmed perforations), and lower right stamp with curious inking flaw.
Irrespective of some minor condition flaws, it remains a lovely and very scarce block, with exceptional colour.
