British Guiana 1862 (Sept) Typeset 2c black/yellow, type 12 from R4/3 of the setting, SG121.
A large example with complete roulettes on three sides (and imperforate sheet margin at foot as always), neatly cancelled by part "(A)03" (from duplex). Faint vertical bend and a couple of trivial marginal thinnings, still very fine appearance and far above average for this issue.
Accompanied with a Friedl certificate of authenticity (1973) as Scott #40, which mentions only "minute thinnings".
A very attractive quality used example of this rare stamp, which is catalogued by Stanley Gibbons at £10,000 for a mint example. Used examples are rare and the current valuation seems modest.
The Stanley Gibbons catalogue value is £950.
