Expert Market Opinion Service – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the Expert Market Opinion Service provided by Paul Fraser Collectibles (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By submitting a request and completing payment for this service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Important: This service provides an informal opinion only. It is not a formal valuation, not proof of authenticity, and cannot be used for insurance, probate, legal, tax, lending, or any other official or legally binding purposes.

1. Description of Service

The Expert Market Opinion service provides an informal opinion on the likely market value of a collectible item, based solely on the images and information supplied by the customer.

Responses are typically provided by email within 3–5 working days. Timeframes are indicative only and not guaranteed.

2. Informal Opinion Only

Any opinion provided:

  • Represents an informal opinion only

  • Is provided for general guidance purposes

  • Is based solely on the information and images supplied

This service does not constitute:

  • Authentication of any item

  • A certificate of authenticity

  • A formal valuation

  • An insurance valuation

  • A probate valuation

  • A valuation for legal, tax, lending, or investment purposes

Any opinion provided should not be relied upon for financial, legal, insurance, or estate planning purposes.

3. Basis of Opinion

Opinions are provided based on:

  • Photographs submitted by the customer

  • Written descriptions and information supplied

  • Our general expertise and knowledge of the collectibles market

We do not physically inspect items as part of this service and do not verify authenticity.

Any opinion may change if:

  • The item is physically inspected

  • Additional or different information is provided

  • The condition differs from that shown in images

4. No Guarantee of Value or Sale Price

Any value range or estimate provided:

  • Represents our current opinion of potential market value

  • Does not guarantee any future sale price

  • Does not constitute an offer to purchase

Actual market prices may vary depending on:

  • condition

  • authenticity

  • provenance

  • market demand

  • timing and method of sale

Market values can fluctuate and may differ significantly from realised sale prices.

5. Payment

The Expert Market Opinion service is a paid service.

  • The fee for this service is £39 per item

  • Payment must be completed in full before any review is undertaken

  • Payment is processed securely via Worldpay

  • Submission of payment confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions

By purchasing this service, you expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately and acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed, you lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

No work will begin until payment has been successfully received.

6. Refund Policy

The fee is charged for the provision of an expert opinion service.

  • Refunds will not be provided once the review process has commenced

  • If a submission is declined before review (for example, if it falls outside our areas of expertise), a refund may be issued at our discretion

  • No refunds will be given if you obtain a different opinion or valuation from another source that does not match our opinion

We reserve the right to refuse refunds in cases where sufficient information was provided for the service to be completed.

7. Customer Responsibilities

By submitting an item, you confirm that:

  • All information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • You have the legal right to submit the item

  • The photographs provided accurately represent the item

  • You are not relying on this service for insurance, legal, or financial decisions

We are not responsible for inaccuracies, omissions, or misleading information provided by the customer.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Paul Fraser Collectibles shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or financial decisions arising from reliance on any opinion provided through this service.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • buying or selling decisions

  • insurance decisions

  • tax or probate matters

  • investment decisions

The service is provided for informational purposes only.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for failure to provide services with reasonable care and skill.

9. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to decline or refuse any submission at our discretion, including where:

  • the item falls outside our areas of expertise

  • insufficient information or images are provided

  • the submission is inappropriate or unlawful

10. Intellectual Property

All written opinions and content provided by Paul Fraser Collectibles remain our intellectual property.

Such content may not be:

  • reproduced

  • distributed

  • published

  • used for commercial purposes

without our prior written consent.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The version in effect at the time of submission will apply to that request.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

Any disputes arising from the use of this service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
