Donald Trump was impeached by House Resolution 755 in a process announced by Democrat members of the House Judiciary Committee on December 10, 2019. In the resolution, Trump was accused of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
The House of Representatives voted on and passed the resolution on December 18, before the Senate held a trial of Trump that resulted in an acquittal on February 5, 2020.
