A signed black-and-white portrait photograph of Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space, dressed in her space suit and helmet.
Measures 4" by 6" and is in very fine condition.
Signed clearly in bold black ink.
Tereshkova, a former factory worker and amateur skydiver, was just 26 when she flew into space aboard Vostok-6 on June 16, 1963.
During her historic three-day mission she conducted experiments, took photograph and orbited the Earth 48 times.
Tereshkova remains the only woman in history to conduct a solo mission into space, and is the sole surviving member of the Soviet Union's Vostok space programme.
This is truly a key autograph for every space & aviation collection.
