Charles Lindbergh Autographed Menu

For Sale: £1,500.00

Charles Lindbergh (1902-1974) came to fame with his Orteig prize-winning solo non-stop flight from New York to Paris in 1927. The U.S. army reserve officer travelled a distance of nearly 3,600 statute miles in the Spirit of St. Louis, a single-seat, single-engine monoplane. Awarded a Medal of Honour for his exploit, he was rocketed to international fame, which culminated in the kidnap and murder of his son, which was dubbed the "Crime of the Century".

In addition to being an aviator, Lindbergh was an accomplished author, explorer, inventor and social activist. His impressive and pioneering feats in aviation have led him to become one of the most valuable and sought after pilots for collectors.

This menu card from Club Cartagena details the menu options for a banquet held in honour of Lindbergh. He has signed the top left space of the card in blue ink. Other signatures and handwritten text feature on the reverse. Some smudging to the ink, light toning and folding.

A unique piece of memorabilia.
