Large block of very rare trial

Great Britain 1841 1d Red-Brown Plate 1, (trial on Dickinson silk thread security paper, No Watermark), SG16.

A magnificent unused left hand marginal large four margin block of six lettered KA-LC, showing part sheet inscription & variety "Without silk thread in the first vertical column'.

A superb multiple from this very rare unissued trial printing that was considered to be not as safe as watermarked paper.
