South West Africa 1923 Transvaal 6d black and red-brown Postage Due, setting I overprint (14mm space, with hyphen), horizontal pair, left stamp variety "Afrika without stop" (R6/1), SGD2b.

A fine and fresh mint pair with large part original gum.

A rare Postage Due variety with a maximum of only 140 possible.

The Stanley Gibbons catalogue value is £275+.

At the beginning of the campaign in the conquest and occupation of German South West Africa, Transvaal postage due stamps were used until being replaced with South Africa stamps.
