China Taiwan 1951 (19 July) Whistling Swans with silver yuan surcharge, SG129/32.
Very fine and fresh as issued mint set of 4 to $50 on (-) blue-green. All examples are upper marginal examples, other than the $20 with sheet number.
A scarce and exceptionally fine quality set.
The Whistling Swans design is that of China but without any indication of value. The surcharges were necessary due to a shortage of high-value stamps in Taiwan at the time.
