A highly desirable and rare error printing variety of the 1897 Dowager Empress third printing, featuring the 10 cents on 9 candareens grey-green with inverted surcharge.
A fine mint example with fresh colour and with light original gum.
The surcharge is boldly printed but strikingly inverted, a classic error that escaped postal inspection.
A very scarce variety, especially in such fine condition.
