Hong Kong British Post Offices in China 1862 24c green, no watermark, with nearly complete strike of 'AMOY PAID' circular date stamp in red, dated 'MY ? 65', lightly overstruck by 'B62' in blue, SGZ5.
A fine used example. Some trimmed perforations and a trivial corner crease, still a good example of this very scarce usage.
Amoy was one of five original Treaty Ports opened to British trade by the Treaty of Nanking in 1842. A consular postal agency was established in 1844.
