Ascension 1912-22 Great Britain 3d violet, tied to fragment by complete 'ASCENSION' 23mm (code B) circular date stamp, dated '9 DE 15'.
Other than a creased corner perforation a fine quality example and much above average.
The use of British stamps in Ascension Island ceased in December 1922.
