Andy Warhol was one of the most important artists of the 20th century.
As one of the founding members of the Pop Art movement, he was a central figure in a scene which including film-making, music, fashion and design
Warhol is known for his iconic artworks featuring celebrities and famous mass-produced products and brands.
Today his paintings are amongst the world's most valuable modern artworks, having sold for upwards of $100 million.
An original print created in 1981 to commemorate Warhol's retrospective exhibition at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York.
Published in a limited-edition run of approximately 250 copies.
The artwork measures 12” x 12” (30cm x 30cm), and is presented in excellent condition.
It's housed in a custom-made protective acrylic frame, mounted on a 1.2” (3cm) deep base.
Warhol has signed boldly in black marker pen, vertically along the right-hand side of the catalogue.
The print originates from the collection of James Danziger, the renowned gallerist and former Features Editor of Vanity Fair magazine.
