Keith Haring’s (1958 - 1990) immediately recognisable style has made him an enormous star on the New York art scene and subsequently globally. He worked on canvases, but also on the walls and trains of the New York Subway system. He was a political activist and campaigner, who campaigned on social causes, including particularly gay liberation and AIDS treatment. He was himself an out gay man and was diagnosed with HIV in 1987.
Haring’s work is highly collectible and very valuable. The current record for his work is $6.5 million achieved at Sotheby’s in 2017. His work is represented in many international museum collections, including the MoMA in New York.
This poster represents an exciting opportunity to own a Haring work, which should have considerable investment potential.
