A rare bottle of 1964 Karuizawa will lead Spink's Exceptional Whisky and Spirits auction in Hong Kong on October 13.

Karuizawa was one of Japan's most celebrated distilleries. It shut down production in 2000; the limited edition bottlings of its remaining stock are highly prized.
Last month a complete set of the company's Geisha series realised $142,179 in a sale at Bonhams Hong Kong.
This is one of only 143 bottles of this 48-year-old edition, which was bottled in 2012.
It's valued at $24,500-30,950.
