Japanese Kariuzawa 1960 whisky will lead January 22 sale

A bottle of Kariuzawa 1960 50-year-old will lead an auction of fine whiskies at Bonhams Hong Kong on January 22.

The lot is expected to make £13,000-18,000 ($19,052-26,380).

It's one of a number of Japanese whiskies offered in the sale, including several bottles from Hanyu Ichiro's ever popular card series.

A bottle of Kariuzawa 1960 aged for 52 years (one of only 41 bottles) sold for $118,500 at Bonhams last year - setting a new record for a Japanese whisky at auction.
