Collectors can sample Germany's renowned 2009 wines in Stuttgart

Back in May, we reported that Germany's wines will "this year go down in history as a truly great vintage" - that was in the worlds of Norbert Weber, president of the German Wine-growers' Association in Bonn.

Germany is the world's third largest
producer of Pinot Noir

And collectors, investors and wine enthusiasts will have an opportunity to try it out for themselves at one of the largest and best wine festivals in Germany: the Stuttgart Wine Village.

The event always happens when the German wine festival season is getting into full swing, and starts tomorrow (August 25) continuing until September 5.

Stuttgart is the ideal spot for the fest, itself being located in the Neckar wine region and boasting a 1000-year old viniculture.

More than a million wine buffs are expected to attend the event, with over 250 regional wines to choose from including Riesling, Trollinger and Müller-Thurgau.

Watch this space for more news on the event, which will take place in Stuttgart's city centre.
