We've already taken a look ahead to Christie's September 9 fine wines sale starring, among other things, a 'dramatic' Romanée-Conti 1988.
Then, during the following week on September 18, Christie's will present The SK Networks Collection: a single-owner wine sale which will take place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hong Kong.
These superb wines are part of a corporate collection belonging to SK Networks, the Korea-based global business giant which encompasses trading, natural resources, petroleum, telecommunications, auto-services, fashion and fine wines.
This will feature lots from Wine Networks, a representative brand of the wine business division of SK Networks.
Developed through many years under highly-respected connoisseurship, the wines come from some of the world's most renowned châteaux such as Lafite-Rothschild, Latour, Mouton-Rothschild, Margaux and Haut-Brion, and are in pristine condition, having been cellared in the UK and Bordeaux since purchase.
Featuring close to 400 cases of wine from the top Bordeaux châteaux, the auction is expected to bring in excess of HK$26 million (US$3.4 million).
"SK Networks is a leading global enterprise from Korea and a world-class brand with a long, illustrious history," said David Elswood, International Director of Wine, Christie's Asia and Europe.
"The collection, which consists of great Bordeaux wines from the finest First Growths and other famous châteaux put together with impeccable taste, provides a perfect opportunity for wine collectors to acquire top vintages in excellent condition."
Based in Seoul, with offices in London and Hong Kong, SK Networks also has its own negociant in Bordeaux, home to many of the world's greatest wine estates.
"We are delighted to present some of our collections at this very special sale, and believe the premium quality of our wines will be much sought-after," said Mr Suk Hyun Kang, Head of Wine Business at SK Networks.
