This Friday (April 6) will see wine collectors descend on Beverly Hills for a sale of superb vintages. The selection of over 1,000 lots will appeal to collectors, investors and those looking for the perfect tipple.
The auction will offer a wide range of lots from some of the world's most renowned producers including Chateau d'Yquem, Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Haut Brion and Chateau Petrus. Included in the sale are several collections purchased on release and stored as future investments, along with numerous 'blue chip' bottles of Bordeaux.
Topping the sale are 12 bottles of Chateau Haut Brion 1961 valued at $17,000+, 12 bottles of Chateau Petrus 1996 valued at $15,000+ and 12 bottles of Chateau Latour 1982 valued at $14,000+.
Exceptional single bottles on offer include an Imperial of Chateau Latour 1982, an Imperial of Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2000 and a Magnum of Romanee Conti 2007, each priced at $12,000+.
The auction will also feature other notable vintages such as the Chateau d'Yquem 1949, the Chateau La Mission Haut Brion 1982, the Chateau Latour 1961 and the Chateau Margaux 1982.

In addition to classic French wines, the sale will give collectors the chance to acquire bottles from California, the Rhone, Italy and Australia.
After an incredible year in 2011, the wine market shows no signs of slowing down and international auction houses have already recorded record results in the first quarter of 2012.
The sale, which takes place at 6.00pm PT, is expected to bring in excess of $1.6m.
