1999 DRC assortment expected to bring $54,500 to Sotheby's

Sotheby's January 30 auction of Finest and Rarest Wines featuring a Spectacular Private Collection will be highlighted by two assortments of 1999 vintages from Domaine de la Romanee-Conti (DRC).

A strong year for DRC combined with Burgundy's success in 2012 spells good things for Sotheby's


Each assortment is valued at £26,000-34,000 ($41,500-54,500) and contains 12 bottles. They are currently being stored at the Octavian Vaults in Wiltshire, ensuring that the bottles will have been kept in premium conditions until their sale in London.

Both assortments contain one bottle of the illustrious Romanee-Conti, three bottles of La Tache, two bottles of Richebourg, and a further two each from Romanee Saint Vivant, Grand Echezeaux and Echezeaux.
