Lily Gabriella Elia ring to bring $4,000 to Christie's Jewellery

Christie's first online-only jewellery sale has opened for bidding today (July 17), with a ring by up-and-coming designer Lily Gabriella Elia set to star.

The 18k white gold and diamond ring is inspired by Elia's Brazilian heritage and will sell with a $2,800-3,800 estimate.

Further emerging designers in the sale include Olivia Wildenstein and Marina Bulgari, granddaughter of Sotirio Bulgari, who will offer vibrant pieces from her brand, Marina B.

Christie's has partly attributed the success of its record first-half sales in 2013 to its recently-launched online sales.
