Franck Muller Endurance watch set for $12,000 auction at Bonhams
The Frank Muller Endurance 24 boasts the highest valuation among watches at the sale
A Franck Muller Endurance 24 is set to provide the main draw at Bonhams' Watches & Jewellery auction on August 17 in California.

The sale provides a stunning selection of mid- to low-end collectible watches from top manufacturers, with none of the usual high-end favourites - such as Patek Philippe and Breguet - making an appearance.
The Franck Muller Endurance 24 is so-calledbecause itfeatures numbers one to 24 on the face, which resulted in it being dubbed the official Le Mans watch.It wasoriginally released in a limited edition run with several different coloured dials and range of materials used.
The example at auction is a fine 18k rose gold chronograph wristwatch, complimented by its original brown leather strap and the original buckle and box. Its case back is decorated with the carthat Franck Muller sponsored in the Le Mans 24 hour race, making it a great piece for racing and watch collectors alike. It will sell with an $8,000-12,000 estimate.
The watch's racing pedigree is reminiscent of the Tag Heuer watch worn by Steve McQueen in 1971's Le Mans film, which sold for $799,500 on July 31.
Following the lot will be a diamond and 18k gold Corum men's watch, which is designed to look like the radiator grill of a Rolls Royce car. With a gold tone-fluted dial and a diamond set bezel displaying the Rolls Royce logo and "Spirit of Ecstasy" surmount, it is expected to bring $8,500-9,500.
Leading among the jewellery on offer is a cuff bangle bracelet, which has been set with huge marquise and round brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18k gold. This lavish piece will be sold for $15,000-18,000.
