Christie's has announced its Elements of Style selling exhibition in Hong Kong, featuring the finest in jewellery, watches and Chinese contemporary design.

Running from September 11-26, the exhibition will open with a selection of jewels, including top quality diamonds, rubies, pearls, jadeite and Kashmir sapphires, led by a diamond riviere by Adler.
Weighing 144.64 carats, it has 39 brilliant-cut diamonds.
Burmese "pigeon blood" rubies, the finest colour available, form another highlight of the jewels on offer, with a 5.03 carat "no heat" ruby and diamond ring set to star.
It is common for most modern rubies to be treated with heat before cutting, though those that remain untreated are considered finer and command higher prices.
Highlighting the extensive range of watches on offer is a circa 2001 18k white gold Patek Philippe wristwatch, made in a limited edition to mark 150 years of collaboration between the illustrious Swiss watchmakers and Tiffany & Co.
Chinese contemporary design is represented by the work of Shang Xia, who incorporates traditional Chinese craftsmanship with modern designs. A "WUFU" eggshell lacquer object set and "DA TIAN DI" Red lacquered beechwood console table feature in the exhibition.
