Rago's is holding one of their Discovery sales tomorrow (February 12) which includes some intriguing jewellery pieces.
One of these is a Victorian 14kt gold Celtic pin. The circular frame holds a circular cut deep orange citrine surrounded by six amethysts in orange and a rich purple.
The best piece however is probably a Chinese pendant consisting of seven interlocking links of 14kt yellow gold. It boasts eight diamonds and two cabochon emeralds.

Both lots will start selling tomorrow online open to three figure starting bids, but with Asian art and other collectibles regularly exceeding expectations at auction, it seems likely that the second piece will spark competition from bidders and bring far more than that.
If not, it may be snapped up by someone as an investment.
