An 8.4-carat flawless pink diamond is to cross the block with a $12.8m-15.4m estimate at Sotheby's Hong Kong on October 7.

Quek Chin Yeow, deputy chairman of Sotheby's international jewellery business in Asia, commented: "This colour is one of the most beautiful and concentrated shades of pink in diamonds that I have seen.
"Together with its exceptional clarity, it is not surprising that it would command the highest per-carat pre-sale estimate for any pink diamond to date."
The Pink Dream is the world's most valuable pink diamond, having sold for $83.1m at Sotheby's New York in November last year.
