Here's a quick look back at Christie's Jewels sale at South Kensington.
|
A pink topaz and diamond ring was the leading lot at the January 19 auction.
Boasting a mixed-cut rectangular pink topaz diamond held between brilliant-cut diamond claws, it far exceeded its £3,500-4,000 estimate.
The final hammer value was £10,625.
In total, the Christie's sale realised a respectable £241,100.
The second highest lot was a citrine and enamel "leopard" ring and a pair of earrings by Christian Dior, sold for £8,750 - way above the lot's pre-sale estimate of £1,000-1,500.
