A superb 22 x 16 black and white photo of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The photo is signed at the base 'Elizabeth R' and dated '1953'.

This is one of the largest signed photos of The Queen that we have seen.

The image is that taken by celebrity photographer Dorothy Wilding for the Queen's Coronation.

Wilding was an English Society photographer who also photographed Noel Coward, Wallis Simpson, Cecil Beaton, George Bernard Shaw, Earl Mountbatten and Daphne du Maurier.

This particular portrait of The Queen was subsequently adopted by the Royal Mail for the 'Wilding' postage stamp issues of the early 1950s.

A truly superb piece.
