A "prostitute's ensemble" from 1900s New Orleans is among the most intriguing lots on offer at Heritage Auctions's Legends of the West sale.
The auction will take place in Dallas on June 14.

The lot (valued at $3,000-5,000) consists of a derringer pistol, knife and parasol alongside various tweezers and beautifiers presented in a wooden box with a brass plaque identifying it as the property of "Frenchie".
Heritage states: "As with similar "gambler's kits", we tend to maintain a healthy scepticism about this sort of item. However, our instinct is that this one is original and correct."
The fascinating sale will also include a set of autographs from the town of Tombstone, Arizona and a love poem from Wild Bill Hickok.
We have this signed photograph of John Wayne in his role as Wild West hero Rooster Cogburn.
