It's a classic story - one beloved of many soap operas: in the run-up to a wedding the bride-to-be gets together with another man. And not just anyone, but the person the groom has trusted with being the best man.

An oft-told story; but we've never heard of anyone being quite as blatant about it as Prince Harry, who appears to have had a commemorative mug commissioned of himself and the beautiful Kate Middleton celebrating their union.

That, at least, is one interpretation of the piece which is being offered by 'Guandong Enterprises Limited', which shows a picture of the younger, livelier prince in his suit adjacent to a now familiar image of Kate smiling in her famous blue dress. Harry is mysteriously marked as 'Will'.

On the reverse appears the text "The Fairytale Romantic Union of All The Centuries". Things would have to develop a little before it becomes romantic, but certainly there wouldn't be many Royal stories to trump this one.

Assuming that the mug is a genuine error, and not a spoof or publicity stunt, it may prove to be something of an investment. Whilst Royal memorabilia which is advertised as such and sold on mass rarely increases in value, editions which have to be withdrawn may be worth a little more.
