Apple-1 Celebration computer expected to beat $1m

The Apple-1 Celebration computer is expected to sell for in excess of $1m at Charitybuzz in a sale that closes on August 25.

The Apple-1 Celebration is being sold to benefit the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society

That could see it realise a new auction record for an Apple-1 at auction, well above the $905,000 paid for a working specimen in 2014.

That's right: the Apple-1 Celebration is non-functioning.

What makes it rare is the fact it has a blank PCB board, meaning it's likely to be an early test version.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak explains: "No known PCB boards of this type were ever sold to the public… this board appears to be unique from all other known Apple-1 boards."
