The jersey and baseball bat that Pittsburgh Pirates legend Bill Mazeroski used in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series will sell through Hunt Auctions on November 9.
The items, both employed when "Maz" hit his home run to secure the championship over the Yankees, have been consigned to the sale by the man himself.
"Tell you the truth, I had that jersey and uniform in a safe place and I saw it once in 53 years," he explained at a news conference at PNC Park.
"Nobody was seeing it. That should be out there for somebody to see. I'm keeping a lot of stuff, too. I won't sell my rings or anything like that. It's just something that should be around and should be seen."

Mazeroski will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sales to Pirates Charities.
