The Sykes bat is valued at $16,000-18,000. It was used by Bradman to score 115 in his final ever innings at home, before the Australian team travelled to England in 1948.

The team were later known as The Invincibles, after they became the only Australian side to complete an entire Ashes tour unbeaten, a record that still stands to this day.

Bradman's memorabilia is some of the most valuable among cricket collectors, with his baggy green cap setting the world record for any item from the game at $400,000 in 2008.

In 2012, another bat used by Bradman sold for $17,827.
