It was the star of the film 'Brewster's Millions' and is one of the most famous stamps in the world of philately.
On December 11-14 in New York, Heritage Auction House will be selling a rare example of the Inverted "Jenny"
The stamp is described as being of remarkable overall freshness and much better than usual centering.
It is considered to be among the finer examples of this world famous rarity.
The estimate is $500,000.
The highest price for a Jenny was the $2.7m paid by Bill Gross in 2005 for the plate block of four.
This was subsequently 'swapped' for the unique Z Grill stamp which completed Mr Gross' American collection.
