Cyril Woods, who took part in the pantomimes in Windsor, compiled the books in the 1940s.

The images date to between 1940 and 1944, and feature a telegram sent to Woods: "Congratulations Widow Twankey, Two Admirers (Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret)."

The photographs document four different pantomimes: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin and Old Mother Red Riding Boots.
