Princess Diana Versace dress starts at $30,000

A Versace dress Princess Diana wore for a Harper's Bazaar photo shoot auctions this week.

Diana wore the custom dress for a 1991 Patrick Demarchelier shoot, but the images were only used in November 1997, for a tribute edition of the magazine after her death.

The dress has a starting bid of $30,000 but is yet to receive any offers ahead of the June 27 Hollywood Legends sale at Julien's Auctions in LA.

The dress comes from the Versace archives

Consigned from the Versace archives, we're anticipating the blue-green gown to make close to six figures.

That's because Diana dresses are wildly popular collector's items.

The dress Diana wore the night she danced with John Travolta at the White House sold in 2013 for $362,500.

The auction also features a slice of wedding cake from Charles and Diana's wedding.
