The Spring Stampex is here, and will run for the rest of the week (February 24-27).
The main show will be by the The South African Collectors Society, and will celebrate the centenary of the 1910 Union of South Africa. This is expected to present material few British collectors will have seen.
There will also be a large number of dealers (one fifth from outside the UK) and other societies present.
The societies will include The Great Britain Philatelic Society, Egypt Study Circle, the Concorde Study Circle, the Ceylon Study Circle, the Aden, Yemen & Somaliland Study Circle, the Malta Study Circle and the British Postmark Society.
These are all intending to meet on the Saturday. The National Youth Stamp Group will also be offering a range of activities.
Those attending will be offered a free postcard, number 18 in the series, issued to all and only visitors to the show. And finally, the Royal Mail the opportunity to get yourself printed on a set of stamps!
The event, organised by the Philatelic Traders' Society, will be held at the Business Design Centre, Islington in London with free entry.
