An 1897 "round the world" cover displaying stamps from multiple countries will auction at Zurich Asia.

It's expected to make $38,462-44,872 in a September 10-11 auction in Hong Kong.

The envelope was registered in Colombia and sent to a variety of addresses around the globe before returning home.

It features a dazzling array of stamps, frankings, datestamps and cancellations from places as diverse as Shanghai, Bogota and Honolulu.
