Queen Victoria signed postmaster letter to make $10,000?

An autographed letter from Queen Victoria instating the postmaster of Novia Scotia will cross the block at Robert A Siegel in New York on November 18-19.

The letter establishes Sir John Gaspard Le Marchant as lieutenant governor of Nova Scotia

Its valued at $7,500-10,000.

The lot is dated June 16, 1852 and displays a rare £200 revenue stamp to the top left.

The house describes it as: "A unique document and an indispensable item for someone wishing to display the entire philatelic history of Nova Scotia."
