A 1967 1/6d Queen Elizabeth II British Paintings error stamp displaying a work by LS Lowry could make £50,000-70,000 ($78,156-109,418) at Spink London on November 27.

The lot is among the rarest in the issue with only two known mint examples - although a further two are recorded on covers.
It was printed without the silhouette of the monarch that has featured on every British stamp issued during her reign until recently.
