On this day in 1935...

Dear fellow collector

87 years ago today. In this humble two-room house.

In a poor part of Tupelo, Mississippi.

A boy is born.

A boy who, 19 years later, will record a hit song. A song that will change history.

The song will be called That’s Alright Mama.

And the boy’s name is Elvis Presley.

If you have any ambition to collect treasures from the key figures of history.

Elvis needs to be there.

You can’t underplay his importance.

And if you agree with me that Elvis should be in your collection, you’ll want to own the best. The rarest. The most desirable.

The kind of piece seasoned collectors would buy from you in an instant.

Pieces such as this.

twice-signed early and rare Elvis Presley album

Elvis signed this album in 1958, to a fellow member of his company whilst stationed in Germany serving in the U.S Army.It has everything you could wish for in a piece of Elvis memorabilia:

  • It's completely unique
  • It has a direct personal link to Elvis himself
  • It captures an important time and place in his life
  • And the autographs are two of the finest I've ever handled

I can guarantee you won't find another one anywhere.

The first Elvis autograph is on the reverse of the album cover, and can be clearly seen against the plain white background.

This is Elvis Presley's second album, released in 1956. It's one of his finest records.

And the catalogue number LPM-1382-C means this pressing was only ever sold in U.S Army bases in Germany.

That's where Elvis signed it in 1958.

Not once. But twice.

Superb provenance: it originally belonged to a U.S Army Medic.

He served alongside Elvis in Company A of the 3rd Armored Division's 1st Medium Tank Battalion.

Presley made life-long friends during his military service, and was incredibly popular amongst his fellow soldiers.

They got to know Elvis the man - rather than Elvis the star.

But even so, they still wanted his autograph - and he was happy to oblige.

The medic returned from Germany with wonderful memories of Elvis, and this incredible personal memento.

He treasured it for the rest of his life, before passing it down to his family.

And now you have the rare opportunity to acquire it for your own collection.

The second Elvis autograph is on the inner record sleeve, and has been preserved in superb condition for more than 60 years.

So why is this album so special?

First of all, let's talk quality.

These two Elvis signatures are as good as you'll ever find.

Both beautifully preserved.

Signed clearly and crisply in blue ink against a plain white background.

The first on the reverse of the album sleeve, and the second on the inner sleeve which also includes the dedication “Many thanks!”

And importantly, there are no personal dedications.

Simply put: this is an absolute collector's dream.

Then there's the rarity.

Or should I say, the ultra-rarity.

Because while Elvis Presley signed albums are rare...

Elvis twice-signed albums are virtually non-existant.

This is the first one I've ever seen. And I've been a professional autograph dealer for over 40 years.

To be honest, it's a genuine thrill just having it in stock.
