Willie Nelson's tour bus goes for $80,000 on Craigslist

Fans of country music star Willie Nelson pushed bids on a tour bus he used in the 1980s to $80,000 on Craigslist on May 4.

This wasn't Nelson's personal tour bus, but built as a custom model for his longterm drummer Paul English

The massive bus, dubbed The Scout, was one of two identical models custom-made for Nelson and his entourage, but wasn't used by Willie himself - his own bus was named the Honeysuckle Rose.

With red velvet curtains, stained glass windows and elaborate artwork, the bus was actually designed for Nelson's drummer, Paul English, and apparently was where the band used to play dominoes in the downtime between shows.

The rear of the bus is adorned with a bald eagle with outstretched wings, with "Looking back at myself" written underneath. The front bears a sign reading, "We love Willie" where the destination would normally be placed.

Featuring everything you'd need for life on the road, the bus was bought Tom O'Leary on eBay in 2010, despite not being a Nelson fan himself.

"I mainly just thought it looked cool. It needed quite a bit of work when I got it and I did it all myself: fuel systems, electrical, floors, plumbing," he told Rolling Stone magazine.

This is not the first of Nelson's tour buses to have sold, with a 1986 Eagle 1 tour bus, equally as lavish, selling for $43,000 in 2011.

Paul Fraser Collectibles has a great range of music memorabilia and autographs for sale.
