The auction features stage gear, guitars and various music awards.

The proceeds from the auction will go to support his young family.

For such an utterly uncompromising band, Slipknot have enjoyed significant chart success. Their second album, Iowa, reached number one in the UK charts in 2001.

They remain hugely popular, selling out arenas around the world.

There are no estimates available, but Slipknot have a devoted fan base and as this will be the largest auction of items associated with the band to date, demand is likely to be high.

Auction house owner Jacques van Gool said: “Each of the guitars and jumpsuits has their own story to tell and represent a significant element of Paul Gray’s touring and recording history.

“I have personally worked with Brenna Gray over the past 18 months and her final selection of items from Paul’s collection is amazing and truly honors Paul’s legacy.

“She has hand-picked items that will appeal to Paul Gray and Slipknot collectors all around the world”.

The sale runs from April 1-9.
