Ringo Starr lived in the house until he was in his early 20s

The buyer, Jackie Holmes, already owns two homes lived in by members of the band during their early years - including George Harrison's former house in Speke, which realised £155,000 ($218,643).

She told the Liverpool Echo: "I've bought a Beatles house every year since 2014. It's not that I want to buy each Beatle's former homes, the houses I have bought have special Beatles history…

"I love the 1950s and I love the Beatles - I've made many friends in Liverpool because of this and plan to move here any time soon."

John Lennon's first home sold for £480,000 ($681,322) in 2013.
