The front door used by Paul McCartney during his formative years in Liverpool is to auction at Dominic Winter Auctions in the UK today (April 10).
The swamp coloured door has been estimated at £3,000-5,000 ($4,597-7,662), however, should Beatlemania descend over the auction room, it could achieve considerably more.

In July 2005, McCartney's tattered childhood copy of Rupert the Bear sold for £25,000 ($38,314), while a plain red T shirt once worn by the musician brought £3,500 ($5,364) in July 2006.
The front door hails from McCartney's childhood home at 20 Forthlin Road, Allerton, Liverpool. The ex-Beatle spent just under nine years at the property, coming and going between 1955 and 1964.
Here at Paul Fraser Collectibles we have a range of Beatles collectibles in stock, including a pair of McCartney-signed photographs and a lock of the star's hair.
