The wall has raised £5,200 ($8,326) so far, with the profits to be donated to provide cancer treatment for four-year-old Kelli Smith, who needs specialist care having been diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just three months.
The 70cm square section of wall was signed when the band visited Wolverhampton, UK's Free Radio. The station is now moving offices, and has decided to auction the brickwork.
Bidding ends on October 4.
In April 2012, a piece of toast half-eaten by One Direction's Niall Horan received bids of $100,000 in an eBay auction for children's charity YoungCare. However, it's not certain that the bidder actually went through with the sale.
With the hysteria One Direction are creating similar to that of the Beatles, it looks like they may just be a collectible band of the future.
One Direction memorabilia is certainly hot property at charity auctions, according to recent research, even outperforming the Rolling Stones.
Paul Fraser Collectibles is currently offering authentic strands of hair from pop idol Justin Bieber for sale.
