A poem entitled Ode to a Robin that was handwritten by Elvis Presley will sell as part of a UK auction on March 9.

Elvis Ode to a Robin poem auction
It was originally thought that Elvis composed the poem, but several earlier versions have been found

The poem, given to his record producer Jarvis Felton, is expected to sell for £2,500-3,500 ($3,800-5,300). Elvis did not actually write the somewhat brutal poem, but took a shine to it and wrote several copies to send to his closest friends.

in 2009, a copy of the poem sent to the King's band mate and good friend Charlie Hodge sold for an impressive $20,000. Also selling in the present sale is Elvis' personal copy of Kahlol Gibran's The Prophet, which is expected to see bids of up to £5,000 ($7,500).

Paul Fraser Collectibles has two superb Elvis Presley signed photographs showing the star in his army days, as well as an authentic strand of the King's hair and an autographed photo of Colonel Tom Parker.
